Our client seeks a Corporate Services Manager to join their team.
Role Profile: Jointly responsible for the day to day operations / management of the corporate services team and line management of several Company Administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage and provide support to the corporate services team, including but not limited to administering own portfolio of client entities and oversight of work of others in:
- Ensuring the client service charter is observed;
- Ensuring day to day client work is dealt with promptly and correctly;
- Good quality communications with clients, other directors, bank and other professionals as necessary;
- Ensuring administrators have a good understanding of the files under administration;
- To supervise, monitor and provide day to day training to the corporate services administrators and to identify any training needs;
- Ensuring there is effective corporate governance, including the preparation of limited powers of attorney where appropriate and documentation of directors' meetings by minutes and resolutions;
- Ensuring companies are kept in good standing by retaining responsibility for ensuring annual returns and other statutory documents are filed in good time;
- To periodically appraise the performance of the corporate services administrators.
- To review, understand and authorise client bank payments.
- To comply with internal policies and procedures, including those pertaining to compliance with local legislation and external regulations and to promote the administration team's compliance with those policies and procedures.
- To assist the directors, to include but not limited to:
- Client retention and resolution of client problems and minor complaints;
- To develop new business opportunities and relationships with third parties (e.g. Banks and intermediaries);
- To be vigilant to business risk and to contribute to the management of such risk;
- To report to the board promptly and transparently on such matters that would be considered appropriate for the purpose of maintaining the effective corporate governance of the company.
- To act as a director of client companies giving due consideration to applicable company law and the duties and responsibilities imposed under it.
- To act as a director of attorney of internal group companies that provide officers and other services to client companies, giving due consideration to applicable company law and the duties and responsibilities imposed under it.
- To act as a director of corporate trustee companies, giving due consideration to applicable company law and the duties and responsibilities imposed under it.
- To undertake sufficient research / training to keep up to date with industry developments and maintain minimum CPD requirements.
- To undertake business travel outside of the isle of man if necessary.
- To contribute in the development of policies and procedures, both written and electronic.
- To carry out from time to time any other duties as may reasonably be expected.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Have a minimum of around five years' experience in the CSP/ TSP environment
- Have an industry recognised professional qualification with a strong educational background
- Have a detailed understanding of corporate and trust structures and an adequate understanding of financial accounts, VAT and taxation.
- Proven experience in managing, leading and developing a Team
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal and external agencies
- Must be efficient, deadline-focussed, and computer literate with good numeracy and literacy skills and able to work both independently and as part of a team
