Our client seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety Administrator to join their team
Role Profile: Your role will be to provide support to the work of the EHS Team which will include admin, administer digital EHS platforms (e.g., reporting tools) Support development and rollout of management systems (ISO standards) This vacancy is suited to a person with a strong IT and administrative background with good organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining the Environmental, Health and Safety Management System, including formatting procedures and templates
- Support the EHS team with campaigns, training arrangements, and equipment requisitions
- Plan and undertake EHS inspections across operational activities
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and incident statistics
- Upload and communicate EHS documentation and promotional materials across the organisation
- Manage the electronic incident reporting system
- Demonstrate personal commitment to EHS principles and ensure safety is prioritised in all activities
- Maintain a carbon reporting framework, including accurate data collection
- Assist with environmental licence applications and vendor assessments for both environmental and health and safety suitability.
Administrative & Operational Duties
- Undertake administrative processes to a high standard with attention to detail.
- Assist with the preparation of documentation for external audits as and when required.
- Serve as minute taker for meetings held.
- Maintenance of all EHS channels of communication.
- Act as the EHS Team representative at both internal and external events depending on availability of other team members.
- Provide support as a deputy presenter for the EHS Induction, delivering sessions to new employees in the absence of the lead facilitator.
- Maintenance and moderation of the EHS Sharepoint Online Comms Pages.
- Raise purchase orders and requisitions for EHS-related needs.
- Provide a quality service to internal and external customers.
- Achieve agreed objectives within specified timescales.
- Carry out miscellaneous duties within the scope of competence to support the EHS team.
Key Skills and Experience
Experience
- Good communication skills, excellent attention to detail, an organised approach to work and an affinity towards working with standardised processes templates and frameworks.
- Skilled in collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, including resolving conflicts and managing differing perspectives constructively.
- Good IT skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and good written skills. including spelling and grammar, are essential.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Significant experience working in an office environment.
- Understanding of the requirement for performance in accordance with our policies.
- Willing to undertake training to develop skills and knowledge.
- A good working understanding of IT software such as Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team.
- Self-motivated, reliable and flexible - able to respond positively to changing demands.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Discrete, conscientious, diplomatic and trustworthy.
- Full driving licence.
