Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payments (electronic payments, telegraphic transfer).
- Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monitor bank accounts and update cashbook spreadsheets.
- Monitor inward bank statements and reconcile against cashbook spreadsheets.
- Produce weekly cash balance reports in line with client requirements
- Process & allocate receipts (cheques, cash and telegraphic transfers).
- Posting entries into SUN.
- Process purchase and sales invoices.
- Maintain the archiving spreadsheets and ensure archiving is up to date.
- Maintain the scanning and filing of all transactions.
- Daily deliveries/collection of documents .
- Assist other members of the finance team as required.
- General office admin duties.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience of banking systems (essential).
- Numerate and show attention to detail and accuracy.
- Well organised and have the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Able to work well under pressure and achieve targets set.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in a busy team.
- Good communication skills as the role involves contact with other departments, external directors and banks.
- Knowledge of book-keeping.
- Experience of SUN general ledger system (desirable but not essential).
- Experience of Excel and Word
