Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payments (electronic payments, telegraphic transfer).
  • Monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor bank accounts and update cashbook spreadsheets.
  • Monitor inward bank statements and reconcile against cashbook spreadsheets.
  • Produce weekly cash balance reports in line with client requirements
  • Process & allocate receipts (cheques, cash and telegraphic transfers).
  • Posting entries into SUN.
  • Process purchase and sales invoices.
  • Maintain the archiving spreadsheets and ensure archiving is up to date.
  • Maintain the scanning and filing of all transactions.
  • Daily deliveries/collection of documents .
  • Assist other members of the finance team as required.
  • General office admin duties.
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Experience of banking systems (essential).
  • Numerate and show attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well organised and have the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Able to work well under pressure and achieve targets set.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in a busy team.
  • Good communication skills as the role involves contact with other departments, external directors and banks.
  • Knowledge of book-keeping.
  • Experience of SUN general ledger system (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience of Excel and Word
