Finance Assistant

Our client looks for a Finance Assistant to join their team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payments (electronic payments, telegraphic transfer)
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Monitor bank accounts and update cashbook spreadsheets
  • Monitor inward bank statements and reconcile against cashbook spreadsheets
  • Produce weekly cash balance reports in line with client requirements
  • Process & allocate receipts (cheques, cash and telegraphic transfers)
  • Posting entries into SUN
  • Process purchase and sales invoices
  • Maintain the archiving spreadsheets and ensure archiving is up to date
  • Maintain the scanning and filing of all transactions
  • Daily deliveries/collection of documents
  • Assist other members of the finance team as required
  • General office administration duties
 
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of banking systems (essential). Barclays. Lloyds. RBSI. HSBC.
  • Numerate and show attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well organised and have the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Able to work well under pressure and achieve targets set
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in a busy team
  • Good communication skills as the role involves contact with other departments, external directors and banks
  • Some knowledge of book-keeping
  • Experience of SUN general ledger system (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience of Excel and Word
