Finance Assistant

Our client looks for a Finance Assistant to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payments (electronic payments, telegraphic transfer)
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Monitor bank accounts and update cashbook spreadsheets
- Monitor inward bank statements and reconcile against cashbook spreadsheets
- Produce weekly cash balance reports in line with client requirements
- Process & allocate receipts (cheques, cash and telegraphic transfers)
- Posting entries into SUN
- Process purchase and sales invoices
- Maintain the archiving spreadsheets and ensure archiving is up to date
- Maintain the scanning and filing of all transactions
- Daily deliveries/collection of documents
- Assist other members of the finance team as required
- General office administration duties
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience of banking systems (essential). Barclays. Lloyds. RBSI. HSBC.
- Numerate and show attention to detail and accuracy
- Well organised and have the ability to prioritise tasks
- Able to work well under pressure and achieve targets set
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in a busy team
- Good communication skills as the role involves contact with other departments, external directors and banks
- Some knowledge of book-keeping
- Experience of SUN general ledger system (desirable but not essential)
- Experience of Excel and Word
