Our client is seeking a Head of Brand & Marketing to develop and implement marketing and communication strategies that stimulate demand, whilst maintaining the brand's reputation and integrity.
 
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role and hold a degree in Business Commerce or Marketing. Proven experience in multiple industries and marketing in other international countries would be advantageous.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and manage the Marketing and Communication tactical strategy and ensure it is aligned to the overall brand strategy.
  • Commission appropriate research to develop relevant client insights to give direction to the Marketing and Communication (M&C) strategy and manage insight gathering.
  • Develop and manage financial forecasts for the relevant business line(s) M&C and optimise returns on the investments.
  • Drive the development of the overall marketing, communication, public relations and events portfolio strategy, and ensure this encompasses the strategies and plans for each of the jurisdictions in the business unit.
  • Determine the people plans with a focus on talent management, resourcing, development and retention by overseeing the overall business performance for the area.
  • Drive and oversee functions comprising marketing communications associated with the business segments including advertising, public relations, direct marketing, digital and social media marketing, media placement, sales collateral, press releases, special events, market research, creative production, media planning, internal and external communication, sponsorships and all other marketing related activities to ensure alignment on Group objectives.
  • Advocate the inclusion of marketing and communication earlier in product development, in order to incorporate all the facets of brand, marketing, customer and competitor insights into the final product that will be delivered to market.
  • Develop a strategy to effectively find new ways to develop and enter new markets, as well as ways to enhance the ways of working.
  • Drive the alignment of marketing activities across the Group, to optimise cross-sell opportunities.
  • Manage or leverage the team of marketing professionals by developing and guiding them on the delivery of M&C initiatives.
  • Manage, coach and guide individuals within the marketing team by creating career advancing opportunities to guarantee the relevant and future-ready capability across all segment marketing.
  • Monitor, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns in delivering the business target as well as M&C goals.
 
Key Skills & Experience
  • First Class Degree in Business Commerce or Marketing (Masters level preferred).
  • 8-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience of leading a team of Marketing specialists.
  • Prepared to challenge ideas and comfortable arguing own perspective.
  • The ability to use marketing techniques to increase the perceived value of the organisation over time and build customer loyalty through positive brand awareness.
  • The ability to ensure that brand reputation is managed across segments, business units and geographies by aligning with the reputation framework, which includes architecture, iconography, positioning and corporate image.
  • The ability to help shape client value propositions through client insights, brand and business unit DNA frameworks and competitive differentiation understanding.
  • The ability to establish the extent of the crisis, inform relevant stakeholders according to processes and protocols and explore all possible solutions to minimise negative impact on the business.
  • Adaptable and copes with change and variety.
  • Able to build rapport and put people at ease; is engaging and welcomes people.
  • Advanced client relationship management.
