Our client seeks a Managing Director to join their team.
 
Role Profile: To provide overall leadership and direction to the business, ensuring the firm operates effectively, compliantly, and in line with its strategic and commercial objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting the strategy and risk appetite and aligning with the Groups requirements and changes in market.
  • Growing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, product providers and business partners / stakeholders.
  • Ensuring a strong culture of customers and people first.
  • Leading and managing the heads of the core functions of the company.
  • Overseeing the IFA team.
  • Responsible for Budgets & planning.
  • Accountable Director for ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
Principle Accountabilities:
  • Overall accountability for the effective leadership, management and financial performance to its Board of Directors and the Group CEO, ensuring the business operates in line with its strategic objectives, values and agreed risk appetite.
  • Responsibility for oversight of the businesses budgeting, planning and financial management.
  • Responsibility for ensuring effective governance, risk management and decision-making frameworks are in place and operating as intended.
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Significant senior leadership experience within a financial advice, wealth management or regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, governance and risk management requirements applicable to a regulated financial services business, ideally within the Isle of Man or a comparable jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience of setting and delivering business strategy, including financial planning, budgeting and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead senior management teams and oversee core business functions, promoting a strong culture of customer focus, professionalism and accountability.
  • Sound knowledge of financial advice products and services, including investments, pensions and protection.
  • Experience operating with direct accountability for regulatory compliance, governance and effective engagement with regulators.
  • Strong leadership, judgement and decisionmaking skills, with the ability to manage competing commercial and regulatory priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with boards, group stakeholders, clients and external partners.
  • Relevant professional qualification or equivalent seniorlevel experience, and the ability to satisfy regulatory approval and Fitness & Propriety requirements.
