Our client seeks a TCSP Compliance Officer to join their team on a part-time basis.

Subject to regulatory approval, and after adequate training and familiarisation, the role holder will ultimately hold the following statutory positions:

Compliance Officer, under Part 9 of the IOM Financial Services Rule Book.
Ideally, Money Laundering Reporting Officer, under the IOM AML/CFT Code 2019.

You must be able to satisfy the IOM FSA on competence, time commitment, accessibility and effective oversight. An initial familiarisation period may be agreed before specific statutory positions are formally transferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Discharge the statutory Compliance Officer role under Part 9 of the IOM Financial Services Rule Book, acting as primary point of contact with the IOM FSA.
Maintain compliance monitoring programme, regulatory returns, statutory registers, policy suite and the authorisation of new SPV structures.
Oversee periodic client reviews and approve higher-risk new business across the SPV book.
Ideally hold the MLRO function, receive internal reports, liaise with the IOM Financial Intelligence Unit.
Run group sanctions screening (OFSI, OFAC, EU, UN), customer due diligence and transaction monitoring proportionate to the group's exposure, with particular attention to maritime risk.
Deliver annual AML/CFT training to employees and report to the relevant boards on financial crime risk.
Maintain the compliance requirements and risk assessment suite, AML/CFT and policy suite, and report to the Board.

Key Skills and Experience:

Ideally minimum three years' compliance experience in regulated financial services.
Working knowledge of the IOM Financial Services Rule Book and AML/CFT Code 2019.
Recognised compliance qualification such as the ICA Diploma in Compliance, the CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance or equivalent.
Based in the Isle of Man.
Track record of direct FSA engagement.
