Our client seeks an AML/CFT Supervisions Executive to join their team. ( Working 2 Days a week)
Role Profile: To undertake AML/CFT supervisory inspections to member Practices registered under the Designated Business (Registration and Oversight) Act 2015, reporting on their compliance with the rules and regulations of the Isle of Man.
Key Responsibilities:
Framework Development
- Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive compliance program and internal controls.
Policies and Procedures
- Maintain an up to date and working knowledge of the Island's AML/CFT regulatory framework.
- Draft, maintain and deliver the AML/CFT Supervisory Inspection Program, including all supporting documentation and related reports.
Supervisory approach
- Compliance with statutory objectives
- Aligning of the interests of stakeholders, including the FSA's
- Manage the administrative requirements of scheduling and the delivery of AML/CFT Supervisory Inspections.
- Take steps to ensure full familiarisation with the status of each Practice, the nature of the services provided and their client base in order to be able to apply a risk-based approach to supervision employed.
- Establish a regulatory and support relationship with the MLROs of each Practice; maintain and implement effective communication channels with this group.
- Assist with the compilation of evidence and written reports for the purpose of sanction or enforcement action.
Training & Culture
- Promote a strong culture of compliance through education and training for all member Practices.
Education
- Co-ordinate the annual Masterclass
- Co-ordinate and host quarterly coffee hours
- Organise and roll out online training for Members , including but not limited to AML/CFT training and Data Security training.
Admin and Support
- Take calls / emails from the AML/CFT Helpline and provide support to the Members.
- Maintain an advisory log to identify key themes for the profession.
- Draft the Compliance content for the XXs weekly email.
- Training and supervision of junior members of staff if required.
- Drafting of procedures as and when required.
- General office administrative duties including assisting and covering when team members are on leave etc.
- FSA
Liaise with Government agencies as required
Essential Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Deep understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Proficiency in risk assessment, control implementation, and policy development.
- Ability to influence business practices and build a positive, ethical environment internally/externally
