Our client seeks a Project manager to join their team for a minimum of 12 months Fixed Term Contract.
This is a varied role where no two projects are the same. You'll have the opportunity to bring your project management expertise, using agile ways of working and the right methodology to deliver meaningful value, efficiently and at pace.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own the delivery of projects and be accountable to senior executives on the delivery.
- Contribute to project roadmaps and be able to breakdown and plan activities into their component parts.
- Develop user stories in line with agile project principles.
- Manage external suppliers, vendors and partners to ensure project goals are met.
- Drive awareness of milestones and task execution and ensure senior management are aware of potential blockers and delays.
- Adapt and use project methodologies for different types of projects.
- Undertake programme reporting and budgetary oversight.
- Organise and support agile sprints.
- Define project scope and project roadmap.
- Organise and lead project meetings, workshops, retrospectives and implementation activities.
- Focus on regular, timely delivery of value.
- Prepare and distribute progress reports.
- Manage project risks and issues.
- Correct deviations from project plans.
- Perform delivery planning.
- Manage stakeholder communications.
- Working closely with your teams on project communication strategies.
- Mentor junior project managers and be an advocate for change across the business.
- Support the Sponsor in defining scope, schedule, suitable metrics and priorities.
- Liaise with colleagues in the wider Group to ensure alignment on support matters.
- Help manage customer expectations.
- Implement effective project governance and controls.
- Champion ongoing process improvement and best practices.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years project management experience.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Team, Microsoft Project and Visio.
- Previous experience of Banking, Investment and General Ledger platforms.
- Previous project management of data, system migrations and upgrades.
- Agile experience.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing software, IT and business projects.
- Experience leading multi-function project teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to establish / maintain high levels of customer trust and confidence.
- Excellent presentation skills and able to present and articulate project progress up to Board level.
- Participation in Digital Transformation programmes in a Banking and Investment industry.
- Experience in either a Business Analysis or Systems Analysis role.
