Senior Accountant

• Review management accounts, financial statements and group reporting packs and maintain accounting systems;
• Produce budget, forecasts and other ad hoc reports/analyses as the need arises;
• Prepare Board papers and present at Board meetings and other client meetings;
• Colleagues will be expected to attend client, board and other meetings both locally and off island;
• Support other team members, as appropriate, in the day to day management of clients
• Manage day to day treasury function;
• Handle group queries and liaise, in a professional manner, with clients where necessary;
• Ensure awareness of any changes to relevant accounting standards and financial products that my affect clients;
• Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships;
• Assist line manager as to revenue and profitability of each client of the service team, including the generation of additional revenue;
• Liaise with auditors;
• Comply with regulatory and other standards as directed by line management.

• Be professionally qualified, with proven experience in the captive or risk management sector;
• Be client focused with excellent communication, highly numerate, IT skills and production of management information;
• Have a solid understanding of accounting conventions, ability to work accurately to tight deadlines and as part of a team;
• Capable of decision making and maintaining quality standards, keeping up to date with industry trends and changes.
• The role is a full-time permanent position, reporting to the Managing Director.
