Senior Compliance Officer

Our client is Senior Compliance Officer to join their team for a 12-month FTC.
You will foster and maintain a sound compliance framework by helping to manage compliance risk and add value through the provision of second line of defence compliance services and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a knowledgeable advisor to the business on all compliance, financial crime prevention and data protection related matters.
- Support in the preparation of regulatory reporting, thematic reviews, and correspondence for Group departments and the Isle of Man FSA.
- Support in the remediation of internal, Group and/or regulatory assurance audits.
- Evolve, devise and implement comprehensive compliance programs, including policies, procedures, and controls, to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- To keep up to date on regulatory and industry developments and communicate to management and staff.
- Dealing with compliance referrals, including liaising with management and staff.
- Reviewing and analysing the results of online screening.
Key Skills & Experience
- Must have experience working in Compliance in the Financial Services industry, preferably with a multi-jurisdictional insurer
- Technical compliance skills undertaking analysis of regulation and providing input and opinions to Compliance peers, with experience in AML/CFT, CRS/FATCA and Data protection
- Excellent management, interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Report writing competencies with the ability to summarise effectively
- Seeks to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and managers
- An ICA diploma would be advantageous
