Our client seeks a HR Business Partner to join their team.
Role Profile:  The HR Business Partner role operates as part of a small HR Team supporting approximately 190 employees across the UK, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands. This role provides guidance and support to senior management on a variety of HR-related operational matters, aligning with the business's objectives and needs. The HRBP ensures that HR policies, practices, and procedures comply with legislative requirements across various jurisdictions while maintaining consistency throughout the company
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Collaborate with senior management to provide HR expertise that drives organisational effectiveness and enhances employee engagement.
  • Oversee all core HR operational areas, including employee relations, absence management, performance management, recruitment, and employee engagement. Continuously improve HR systems and processes to support business goals.
  • Support the implementation of the people plan, working closely with managers to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting, developing, rewarding, and retaining talent.
  • Facilitate the performance management process and provide training for managers on effective feedback and evaluation techniques.
  • Collaborate with local managers to develop recruitment strategies and talent acquisition initiatives tailored to each region's market dynamics. Provide managers with interview skills training to ensure effective hiring practices.
  • Ensure compliance with current regulations and HR laws, including data protection, the Equality Act, and health and safety legislation.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes professionally to expedite the settling-in period for new employees.
  • Support the execution of the HR strategy to achieve the company's objectives. Identify HR trends to direct attention to key issues and allocate resources effectively.
  • Manage the company's employee programs, staff benefits, and other packages to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Regularly coach, mentor, and support colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs. Develop and maintain effective relationships to encourage retention and ensure the team perspective is fully represented in decision-making.
  • Uphold diversity, equality, and inclusion practices within the company, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Deliver up-to-date and accurate MI monthly to ensure Island leads have the necessary information on People KPIs.
 
Key Skills and Experience:
  • CIPD level 5 needed or above
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar HR environment at a comparable level.
  • Experience working with employment regulations across multiple jurisdictions is highly beneficial.
