Senior IT Technician

• Responding to jobs that arise through the helpdesk ticketing system.
• Set up new users as and when required.
• Support all hardware/software within the office.
• Support and oversee the Net2Access Control software system.
• Monitor and maintain web access, email filtering and Anti-virus updates.
• VPN, remote working.
• Disaster recovery.
• VMWare, Proxmox, Know4Be training, Bitdefender etc.
• It is a mandatory requirement to operate on a daily basis within the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the ISO:27001 IT & Data Security Systems.
• Understand the requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO:27011 IT & Data Security Systems and to maintain a good working knowledge.
• Have an awareness of how departmental procedures, documents and record keeping have a positive or negative effect on the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO:27011 IT & Data Security Systems.
• Be aware of developments within the IT industry.

• Have at least 4 years' experience in an IT environment.
• Experience of Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
• Experience of Server Configuration, VMWare and Proxmox virtualisation platforms, Exchange Server 2016 (2010) and Windows 10/11.
• Good working experience of Linux.
• Desktop support experience.
• Experience of Microsoft Teams.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office 2016 onwards.
• Confident in communicating effectively with staff at all levels.
• Have a genuine interest in IT and industry developments.
• Professional and positive approach.
• Very good interpersonal skills.
• Team player but also be able to work on own initiative.
