Our client seeks a Supervision Officer to join their High and Medium Impact Division (HMI).
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with effective and efficient supervision of high and medium impact firms;
  • Assist HMI completing all deliverables and Support other Divisions as may be required.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support.
  • Support the team in preparing documentation for supervisory activities.
  • Participate in supervisory inspections of regulated entities.
  • Attend meetings as an observer and assist with notetaking and follow-up tasks.
  • Support the team gathering information for risk assessments and supervisory reviews.
  • Assist in drafting basic reports and summaries under guidance from senior staff.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining records for HMI Supervision.
  • Ensure internal systems and procedures are correctly followed and all data input is accurate.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and reporting tasks.
  • Assist in responding to public enquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Help coordinate communications with other divisions and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal processes and controls.
  • Take part in training and development activities to build knowledge.
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Educated to GCSE level or above and/or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working within an office environment and/or as part of a team, especially within the financial services industry would be desirable.
  • An interest in, and working knowledge of, Financial Services and associated legislation, regulation and guidance.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, including accuracy, attention to detail and record keeping and filing.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to quickly and accurately assimilate information and to summarise the information effectively.
  • Experience of taking detailed notes/minutes for meetings - desirable.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
