Our client seeks a Tax Associate to join their team.
As a Tax Associate, you'll be part of a dynamic team providing high-quality tax services to a diverse client portfolio. From day one, you'll have direct client exposure and work across all aspects of tax compliance and advisory services for both Isle of Man and UK jurisdictions.
This role offers comprehensive training in corporate and personal tax returns, VAT compliance, and technical research while working towards a recognised tax qualification. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and the professionalism needed to manage both their studies and the delivery of high-quality work in a progressive, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft Isle of Man personal and corporate tax returns.
- Draft UK personal and corporate tax returns.
- Prepare Isle of Man and UK VAT returns.
- Develop understanding of UK corporate tax returns and offshore fund reporting.
- Handle client correspondence and maintain workflow systems.
- Conduct technical research on specific tax matters.
- Communicate with clients to request information and provide updates.
- Draft application forms for submission to ITD or HMRC.
- Collaborate with internal teams on client onboarding processes.
- Update internal reporting systems for client deliverables.
- Stay current with tax developments through various sources.
- Support the team with additional administrative tasks as required.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong academic background with commitment to studying towards a recognised tax qualification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Assertive and confident approach to learning complex technical processes.
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Previous tax-related experience and workplace experience in different environments.
- The ability to work independently but also thrive in a team.
